CS:GO Major Fantasy Tips

The Paris Major is approaching. Here is how to draft your fantasy team.

AWPers are King: In CS:GO fantasy, the AWP players (snipers) usually get the most kills. Prioritize players like Zywoo or s1mple.

Entry Fraggers: High risk, high reward. They die a lot, but their opening kills are worth bonus points. YEKINDAR is a great pick here.

Clutch Ministers: Players who win 1vX situations get massive points. sh1ro is the master of this.

Support Players Matter More Than You Think

Support roles often get overlooked in fantasy, but they provide consistent utility damage, assists, and flashpoint bonuses. Someone like Perfecto can quietly rack up points even without explosive fragging rounds.

Map Pool Awareness

Your picks should reflect the map pool your team prefers. Players on teams strong on aim-heavy maps like Mirage or Inferno tend to collect more kills. Meanwhile, strategic maps like Nuke can benefit IGLs or utility-heavy players who thrive on structure.

IGLs: Only When Necessary

In-game leaders (IGLs) rarely top the scoreboard. However, players like Karrigan or Jame can provide value depending on the format—especially if your league rewards objective play, bomb plants, or assists. Still, they should be your last priority among the five slots.

Team Form Is Everything

Picking star players from teams in poor form is a classic mistake. A struggling roster means early exits, fewer matches, and fewer fantasy points. Always prioritize players from teams expected to go deep into the tournament—Vitality, Na'Vi, G2, and Heroic are usually reliable.

Stack or Spread?

If you think a particular team is going to dominate the group stage, consider a stack (3 players from the same team). This maximizes the value from their victories. But if you're playing it safe, spreading your picks across multiple teams reduces risk and protects you from early tournament upsets.

High-Value Budget Picks

Captain Selection

Captains earn double points, so choose someone both consistent and with high fragging upside. Zywoo is the safest pick, but NiKo or Ropz can deliver massive ceilings if G2 or FaZe go on a run.

Final Tip

Don’t chase names—chase form and roles. The Major environment affects players differently: some rise under pressure, others crumble. Build your team around players with stable roles, strong map pools, and teams poised to make it to the playoffs.
