Top 10 Fantasy Leagues to Join in the UK This Season
Playing fantasy football is fun, but playing against the best makes you better. The UK fantasy community is vibrant, competitive, and full of leagues that offer not just glory, but fantastic prizes and community spirit. Here are the top 10 leagues you need to join in 2025.
1. The Official FPL Cup
It goes without saying, but the global league is where it all starts. With over 11 million players expected this year, finishing in the top 100k is a badge of honor. The prizes have been ramped up for 2025, including VIP matchday experiences.
2. Fantasy Football Scout Members League
Known as the home of the experts. If you want to test your mettle against the content creators and data analysts who write the guides, this is the place. It's notoriously difficult to win, which makes a high finish all the more satisfying.
3. The "Always Cheating" Super League
Based on the popular podcast, this league has a massive following in the UK and US. It's known for its friendly community and active banter on social media. Great for managers who want a laugh along with their competition.
4. Elite 64
An invitational league for managers with a proven track record of top finishes. While you might not get in immediately, tracking this league is essential to see what the "cream of the crop" are doing with their transfers.
5. The Reddit r/FantasyPL League
The largest community-run league. The subreddit is a goldmine of information (and memes), and their league reflects the hive mind of the internet's most dedicated managers.
6. Planet FPL League
Another podcast-based league that attracts a serious crowd. The hosts provide excellent analysis, and the league members are often very engaged, making for a competitive environment right down to the final gameweek.
7. The Pundit's Playoff
A league featuring TV pundits and ex-pros. It's always fun to see if you can beat the likes of Shearer or Neville. Spoiler: You probably can, as they often forget to change their captains!
8. Corporate Leagues
Many major UK companies run open leagues for charity. Look out for leagues hosted by major sponsors or betting companies (gamble responsibly), as they often have the biggest tangible prizes, like gaming consoles or cash.
9. The "No Haaland" Challenge
A niche but growing league format where managers agree not to pick the most expensive asset (usually Haaland). It forces creativity and highlights the performance of mid-priced assets. A refreshing change of pace from the template teams.
10. Local Pub Leagues
Never underestimate your local. The banter is better, the stakes are personal (usually a pint), and the bragging rights are tangible. Check your local pub's social media to see if they are running a mini-league this season.
How to Join
Most of these leagues have codes available on their respective websites or social media channels. We will be updating our "League Codes" page regularly throughout the pre-season, so bookmark us to ensure you don't miss the deadlines.
